NEW TO AXIES how can i treat white spot fungus and tail rot. out of ideas
hi everyone i have had these axies for about 5 weeks i have had 2 die and now a 3rd one isnt in a very good shape he has white spots appearing on his head back he has fungus on his gills and what i think might be tail rot or more fungus on his tail im at a loss as to what to do as everytime i try salt water baths it kills the fungus but it kills my axalotl the next day. the water is fine and it has been cycled now not sure what to do any help is appreciated. he has also been eating until today and has been floating at the top of the tank for past few days 2 of his tank mates have also been floating and been eating every other day they are loosing weight and there tails have gone a redish colour these 2 are white any ideas????
will post a pic shortly
also
have been trying bay oil as was recommended by aquarium & pond shop because it was natural and suppost to treat these symptoms, as it is summer well getting there here in aus i have been trying to keep my tank at 17 deg it is normally sitting at 20 but i heard anything sitting over 19deg was stressful i have been freezing tank water and adding it to the tank 3 times a day or whenever i get the chance is it possible that i would be better of to leave it at 20 deg as i feel i am stressing them out to much???
