But even comparing this to codominance is a misnomer, as it's not even the same type of thing. Codominance happens when you have two dominant alleles that mix (such as 'red' and 'white' that mix to make pink), while incomplete dominance is where to different alleles are both expressed in pieces ('red' and 'white' make checkerboard red-white patches). These are two different genes, rather than different alleles of the same gene. It's like comparing apples to oranges.
