Effects of EMF on caudates

Does anybody happen to know whether electromagnetic fields (EMF) are known to be dangerous to the health of caudates? It seems opinion is divided on the danger posed to humans, and the WHO is not too concerned on this score.

I'm looking at having a home built on a particular plot of land near an electricity transmission tower. My first consideration is of course the potential adverse effects of EMF exposure on human health, and secondly on the health of our two dogs. But it was recently pointed out to me that the effects, if any, would likely be most severe on my caudates and tropical fish. Have any studies on salamander habitats near such towers been done to bear this out?

I don't know about caudates Tim, but when we bought our house we rejected three other properties that were better than the one we currently live on, because of those towers, power stations, etc.

IF those properties were going for FREE I wouldn't live there. I'm not real big on those "conspiracy" theories. But lets face it, there aren't many reasons for electrical companies to put the info out there, that their towers cause cancer/health problems and PLENTY of reasons ($$ ka-ching ka-ching!) to hide that info.

And with kids and pets, I just feel better safe than sorry.

With that said, I just gotta point out that despite being that careful, we recently found out that our county was hiding info that our city is a cancer cluster. Wonder-stinking-ful. And we are looking to move, transfer SOON!

You can isolate your house from em-radiation by using wires. Just like they do in labaratories. I don't think that the effect on caudates has been thoroughly invested.

I cant imagine they are good for anything, i somtimes have to do work on substations and i always feel weird being around those super high voltage wires and transformers for so long.

However, electric fields vary in intensity and frequency.

Can you put a metal roof on the house? This is another method of shielding.

We also backed out of buying a house that was near high-voltage power lines. After doing as much research as we could, we concluded that the electric field was PROBABLY not going to be harmful to us or our kids, but it could affect resale value of the house.

My nieces fiancee is working on a research project about salamanders in the area of power lines. They are still in the middle of the project but preliminary data looks like the power lines don't influence the salamanders.

having lived under hightenson powerlines before, health concerns were not as big of a conscious as the effects of emf on various kinds of electronics. we discovered many home electronic items, which worked fine before and after living there, that developed erratic bugs while living in the vicinity of high tension lines.
