Will marbled newts stop eating as much in the winter? Also, what kind of tank should I keep them in over the winter? Is a semiaquatic OK, or is mostly terrestrial better.

Winter (and on into spring) is the time they are most likely to be aquatic. But if they are still small juveniles, then terrestrial is OK too. They will probably continue to eat just as much, or nearly so.

P.S. Simon, if you are still interested in C. e. popei, e-mail me.

Thanks Jen. The newts are just starting to frequent their small waterbowl more often and are eating less, but are in the exact same health as they have been.

I'll have to consider the popei, because there are a few other species I would like some time as well. If you still have Java moss though- I'll PM you.
Thanks
