Hi.
I bought a 40 gallon tank with 4 baby newts. Everything was fine for the first 2 weeks. Temp.60-70 usually in 68-72. I went away for a week and came back and temp. dropped to 48 and one newt had dicomposed. I heard they can survive at 40, but not reccomended. This newt that died never moved and neber ate. So I think he just didn't adjust.
Right now, there's 3 newts and i added 12 guppies and 6 ghost shrimp. Are guppies okay I got a list off the internet and they were not listed on it but the lady in the pet store said it was fine. She also told me the temp. should be 70-80 which is wrong.
The 3 newts dont move..One sits on a stick and the other two lay on plants all day. They never move or never eat. Tried blood worms, this other kind of food from pet store i forget name.brownish blocks similar to bloodworm frozen. None of the fish are missing either.
Anyone know what is wrong and how to help??
Any ideas would be great
Thanks
Glenn
