how long should i leave my tank light on for a mudpuppy, and i have elodea
 
We try to mimic natural light by turing the light on in the morning and off at night. Photocycles are important... so that would be my advise to you. I'm sure others will have more advise.
 
then you're doing alright! make sure that he has plenty of hiding spots too. We've found that our amphiuma's and sirens love tubes... They are the type of tubes you can buy at lowes or home depot.
