to hurry up the tank to cycle is to put a goldfish in there for a week then take it out and add ur axies? what do u think?
I usualy test my goldfish water and if its ok i add a bucket full to the axie tank when i need to do a quick cycle. but never thought about actually putting the fish in the axie tank to help it cycle.

before i got my axie i put a siamese fighting fish in there, dont know if it cycled or anything

oh and im not useing tap water for my axie tank, im using rainwater that has been caught in the tank outside. would this make a difference in cycling? everything is reading 0 except my ph, its a bit to much acid and ammonia is 0.50

Using a goldfish to cycle speeds up the process, but it should still take a month or so. I'd not use rainwater, just because of the acidity in rainwater.

I would not use goldfish water to change the water in your axolotl tank. Goldfish excrete high amounts of ammonia, which can be toxic to axolotls.

The goldfish will only help it cycle if it is kept in the tank for the entire period.
