I have two axies and i bought them different foods of 'axie food pellets' which they wont eat, frozen beef heart liver which only 'Fishy' eats just barely and makes a terrible mess with, feeder fish which they both eat but are too fast for them to catch AND ME!!, shrimp which 'Sushi' eats, and occasionly crickets from the backyard which they eat...

They eat every two days roughly but they just dont put on weight - they are now terribly skinny - there water is all fine and cool enough.

Please help

Can you get earthworms?

Axolotls love these. They will gobble them up, also red wrigglers

.

Earthworms are also a good stable. Try feeding the worms by hand, they will except them better this way. It works for me

Yeh, earthworms are your best option and staple.

If the beef heart tablets are making a mess... if you still plan to feed the beef heart occasionally.. cut the tablet in 4 cubes and offer it to your axies while its still frozen - it shouldnt create any mess while still frozen.

Also, it depends on the age of your axolotls. Juveniles tend to not put on weight. They just grow longer the more you feed them.

And if you've got feeder fish, they could be burning a lot of energy chasing them, or the fish could have introduced parasites in the axolotls and that's why they're not putting on weight.
