Hey all,
Awhile ago I bought a male axolotl, and my female fell pregnant 3 times. I decided to put a divider in the tank approx 2-3 months ago.
Last night I came in to find my girl floating at the top of the tank acting strange. This was how she used to act before laying eggs, and last night I noticed her <font color="ff0000">•</font><font color="ff0000">•</font><font color="ff0000">•</font><font color="ff0000">•</font><font color="ff0000">•</font><font color="ff0000">•</font> bit had opened.
Obviously she layed no eggs, but I am wondering why this happened? Do you think she could be sensing the male is in the tank and preparing for breeding even though they cant get to each other?
I just worry that if she does this often, she is leaving herself open to get an infection?
