Advise needed

as some of u may know im having a bit of bad luck with my axies.
well, my cousin called and she no longer wants her sons axie snotty (cos its a green/olive color) and she wants to give it to me. as her son dont care about it anymore and the tank is taking up room.
as much as id like to have snotty im not sure if i can cope with 3 sick axies and snotty. but if she flushes him down the toilet or something else nasty ill feel bad :<.
not sure what to do...
 
I am in melbourne,
And have room for another axie... is snotty unwell or just unwanted?

just unwanted, i hope. i have not seen it in 6 weeks. i will find out soon.
 
got him yesterday. he is a little underweight but hes fine.
He was a green/olive color but now hes turned into a light brown color.
ill post a pic up later.

altho to me it looks like a female too.
 
oh she is just so cute! you don't see many that colour in Victoria, looks fairly healthy from the pic, maybe a little skinny but then again all my little ones are fed maybe just a little too much he he he... Are you able to care for snotty? I am in the process of building a 4-foot tank so will have plenty of room if you need a home for him/her

well i think mum has fallen for snotty, so i think its a keeper.
I still cant get snotty to eat tho.
ive tryed bloodworms, garden worms, a moth, a fly and ghost shrimp.
im tempted to try slugs, i have plenty of little slugs in my backyard.
 
You might want to try brine shrimp thats my guys favorite.
 
What about fresh red meat?

I use the cheaper cuts like - chuck steak, beef schnitzel and liver is always good... The smell seems to appeal to them, also what about a few live baby danio's or white clouds put into snotty's tank? sounds horrible but always gets my babies active & hungry.

i used a cut of meat mum bought today..(she was not impressed) lol. anyways she steped back from it and was not interested.
so i decided to go for earthworms again and SNAP! it was gone! me happy and now i can sleep hahaaha

sorry to say but i had him put down.
he developed a lump on his head and he started spinng around madly 24hours a day. i took him to the vet and he couldnt help so we put him to sleep.
 
Oh no,
That's terrible. Hope your other axie's are doing ok? If you need any advice just ask, We live in the same state so will probably encounter simillar problems, I've come across and beaten most common and a few unusual problems with axie's.. All the best though!

That is so sad and i thought this forum was going to have a happy ending, i hope ths=at never happens to my little axie.
