Oldest living axie

i was just wondering if anyone knows the age of a really old axie and is it older than the ones in a local pet shop i use. These were a group of about eight which i first saw around twenty three years ago and three are still surviving to this day. They have been kept inside but in pond like conditions,a 5 x 2.5 x 2.5 foot constructed enclosure. When i say inside it is only a covered back yard so it still gets pretty cold in winter and quite warm in the summer ,it also receives natural daylight.I was wondering if the more natural conditions could have anything to do with their ripe old age..

The oldest axie ever was 25 or something like that in the place in paris- Jadine des Plante or something like that. Supposedly.
Are you sure that those axies in the pet shop are the same ones? 23 is old. Very old. Very, very, very old. Wrinkly and walking stick old, lol!

It's not unusual for newts to live over 20 years, so it doesn't surprise me that axolotls could too. In my opinion, yes, the natural conditions probably contributed to their longevity.
