There's algie growing in by my bubbler. Loads of it. And its really dark too and think. Do u think its ok or shall i get a cleaner in?

IN the bubbler?
I assume you mean the tubes yea?

It could be cyano - but who knows.

Algae is rarely dangerous - but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Clean it out anyway - then you've removed a big chunk of potential nitrates

I get brown algae in my tubing, both air and water. I don't bother with it.

Aww cool i'll leave it then. If it starts bunging it up ill get new tubes hehehe

You can get or make a tube brush too. I clean big tubes with a length of stiff wire and a scrap of cloth wrapped around the end. A few passes should clear it right up.

Algae are harmless- all they really do is make the tank look like it needs a good clean.

Not all algae are harmless. Cyanobacteria, blue green algae, and red tides are all harmful forms of 'algae', although are not commonly seen in household aquariums.
