Travelling 10 km or so...

Hi, I'm taking over my friend's account here for a little bit just to post this so yeah...
Anyway, I'm going to move pretty soon but my new house won't be that far away maybe around 10km.
I saw that other thread before but I wasn't sure if I should do what they were advised to do.
So yeah... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure which thread you mean, but have recently helped my sister move her axie from town to close to us, which is approx 20ishkm! I am not a driver so have no concept of distance so that's a very poor guess!

This is how we did it:

Axie was put in a bucket with lid in own tank water. 1/2 tank water (Sister didn't want to cycle tank again) was placed in 2 big plastic storage containers with lids. Filter, plastic plants and decos placed in one of the containers of tank water; and substrate in the other container of tank water- as long as you can keep filter, decos, substrate moist during the journey, even if it goes in plastic bags that sit in buckets for the short journey). Empty tank, containers and bucket put in car)

Its cold here so no problems with trying to keep temp down for journey.

The beauty of the storage containers is that you can place your axie in while trying to set your tank back up and not have to worry too much about them. A temporary plastic tank or quarantine tank, which also comes in handy if your tank needs resiliconing!
