hi there- just hoovering the tank with the baster today and noticed some clear jelly-like globules- that wouldn't actually go up the turkey baster- i can't imagine what they are- there are bits in them- it can't possibly be eggs can it- i only got my axies in jan and they were apparently only a bout 6 weeks old!! i have to say one of the axies nether regions has definitely got bigger lately. What else could it be?? i am intrigued. They were both off their food a few weeks ago- now they are eating again.

Which one's bits have got bigger, the dark or light one? One of our young leucs we have finally figured out to be male! (he also has more prominent "nether regions"/cloaca compared to the others ) Bit hard to tell with our young wild types (as they're harder to tell with colouring and the dark sand colour and hubby thinks I am spending far too much time studying them!) Sorry, can't help about the jelly globules :D! Don't spose you can post a photo of them unless someone can guess from your description?

If they were 6 weeks old in january, they're around 9 months old now and are perfectly capable of being sexually mature. They very well could be eggs or sperm packets.

you were right Joan! there are eggs in the tank and the egg layer is the dark axie not the one i thought!! time to move to the egg section!!

explains all the strange behaviour over the past few weeks- she obviously had morning sickness!!! was off food and even threw up..!!
