My brother stupidly threw in some ham in my axolotls cage. It ate it. Will it be okay?

Lorie, that's not an accurate statement.

Pork can be high in parasite load, but most pork in the US is sold as pre-cooked.

Mammalian meat is also pretty calorie-dense when compared to crickets or earthworms.

i was on about fat not parasites but yeah ok ur right:p lol

lorie, joan said "Mammalian meat is also pretty calorie-dense when compared to crickets or earthworms." which is just the same as saying that axies arnt going to get any more fat of pork then they would of the worms or crickets.

well i think thats what she meant? i dont know if i read it right..

Lol i'll just stick to what i know dosent kill her i rekon lol. I've already had a bad experiance with a axie

Alex, what I meant was that gram for gram, pork probably has more calories (and probably much less calcium!) than the same weight of crickets or worms.

In the end, stick to worms, and keep your brother away from your axolotl, lol.
