What does your axie do to ease its curious little mind?

was cleaning out my tank the other day with the little vaccum thingy (fondly known as the poo-sucker), when my smaller axie, Dixie decided she wanted to jump on it and attack it a bit. She was very curious anyway about this little gadget and while I was lifting it up, she started sticking her head in it to see where all the poo was going. Now usually I would move it away and keep cleaning but this time I just left it there and let her find out what would happen if you put too much of your head in there!

Well, just like the little fat kid in Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, she got sucked up into it! hehehe! It scared the absolute hell out of her and I was giggling away as she tried to wriggle out. She got out quite easily though incase anyone thinks I was being cruel.

What does your pet do to ease its curious mind?

one of mine actually latched onto the knuckle of my thumb, was trying to eat my hand i think lol...

Sounds a bit like in finding nemo when he gets sucked into the filter (my kid loves that movie)

indeed they do some silly things.

One of mine keeps missing the worm completely and gets my finger, only he won't let go. Just keeps on flicking his head from side to side till he gets past the first knuckle. By then he works out my hand is way to big to eat.

I'm not sure if it is boredom, energy to burn or because he had such a limited space before but Diablo likes to walk laps of the tank, around and around.Boris prefers to swim.It cracks me up because he walks so slow he looks like he's creeping.Sometimes he doesnt realise he is heading into Boris, and when they touch they fly around the tank, sometimes touching again so going more mad.Boris always attacks my "poo sucker",or anything that moves!(plants,me,the snail, lol)Diablo hates me doing anything in there so hides in "his" corner, lol.Axies are a crack up for sure!!

All of mine attack the poo sucker en-masse. You'd think that since they see it all the time, they would know what it is, but they still have to test and see if it's food. Mine also must wedge themselves into the tiniest spots in their tank, just to freak me out. They regularly rearrange the plants.

mine like to stalk my poor snail... and play rapunzel on the bell (they peek out the top hole)

My 2, like to chase and stalk my white clouds. it so funny! They try to do it so slowly, but they always miss. It is very amusing..

i used to catch mine watching our TV, we'd be watching a movie and when you turn the light on, you could catch em and they'd all be standing on one another watching the tv.....they rather enjoyed batman begins and finding nemo

They do like to watch don't they?!

I was cooking dinner last night and I could feel eyes upon me. Slowly turned around to see two little axies staring at me side by side hehehe!

Mine like to watch me. My tank is right next to our couch, so when we are watching a movie they like to pile up on the end and watch me lol.

There was this funny moment when Grimace Gargamel swam up to get a gulp of air, and he slowly came cruising back down like a hot air balloon. He landed in my Red ludwigia plant and attacked it lol. Guess he thought it was food. My little white kitten who we have named Bijou was sitting up on the table with the tank at the time and watching him. Grimace after a while realized that the plant wasn't food and came over to the glass and cruised by, just floating there watching Bijou.

I think he realized she wasn't a food bringer and lost interest lol. My Leucistic Moon Cookie loves to watch me and so does my baby gold Bort. They are so cute when they look up at me

I think Axies don't need much to entertain them selves, but I am wondering what they think about most of the time when they are just sitting there looking all zoned out.

I wonder if the Axolotl colony has measured their brain waves at all. I will have to look into it. Anyone know if Axolotl brain waves have ever been measured?

I used to have mine in my bedroom. It was a little creepy to be intimate and look over and see 3 little heads watching. They're now in the living room.

Mine are in my bedroom, but I make sure I turn off the lights and don't look in their direction, for fear of spectators, nevertheless, I spend more nights at my boyfriend's house than mine.

Sometimes they make it more difficult to concentrate on certain things.

lol

Elsa has a fascination with the iron, whenever it comes out she will sit for hours watching it, even if I leave the room...lol

the iron as in ironing clothes? what a little wierdo lol (no offence) thats so cute!

I think I said this in another thread, but not sure, so here goes: Axelina used to love attacking the bubbles from the airpump, but if a big buubble came out she would freak out, and run like hell, sometimes even banging her head in the glass, ouch. Now she prefers to go lie on top of lots of rows of bubbles, so the bubbles will lift her up and then she jumps off.I love her to bits! I often just sit in front of the tank and look at her. Now even my boyfriend thinks it's much more interesting to watch Axelina than tv,haha

Dudette loves the kettle...I think is the noise of it boiling (she's in our kitchen)...Every time we put it on she comes up to the glass and puts her head on it..like she can feel the vibration or something...maybe she likes the little red light???? lol.
