i have a white axie and i was watching her tonight and something weird happened that i have never seen before or thought was possible, she moved her eyes, it was if she was blinking but without the eyelids of course, i dont know whether this is supposed to happen or if this is okay, has anyone else noticed their axie moving their eyes

Yes I have noticed. They move their eyes to watch me when they are too big to turn around properly in a corner. They always want me to feed them, keeping their beady little eyes on me

.

Nothing to worry about. ^___^

Yeah if mine is gobbling down something big he does it too. It looks weird, kinda like the eyeball goes inwards a bit.

natalie thats exactly what happens, i have only just noticed her doin it, i was freaked out by it, axies are really strange but wonderful little critters,

lol yea mine do it when there eating, when they swallow there eyes pop in then back to normal, and somtimes when i hand feed and the food accidintly hits there eyes they suck there eyes in to avoid damage i think.

i am goin to try and get a photo of it cause it looks so weird but when she sees me with my camera she turns her back to me, shes camera shy ha ha ha

i think they do this to help swallow their food? frogs do the same thing but their eyes go totally in. its really weird and fun 2 watch.hehe.

I just witnessed Martini doing this yesterday - but it wasn't while she was eating.

She did it whilst I was just talking to her - about 3 times, actually - it was amazing!

It looked to me like she was fluttering imaginary eyelashes to try to convince me to give her some food!

I love axies!
