Stupid Question

I have a question and it is going to sound quite stupid but i was just wondering. It really has nothing to do with axolotls but it has to do with this site. How do you put pictures on your posts, because i have tried and it comes out to a point where you can't access the photo. Any help would be greatly appreciated! THANKS

Hey Jordon, what I do to post pictures is this: I use Window's paint to make the image smaller that I want to post, then I save it as a JPEG file.

Do you need any further help? Let me know if there is anything else I can do

If you don't have window's paint, just make sure to use an art program or a scanning program to decrease the image size, then save it as a JPEG.
They are best viewed this way

Please don't hesitate to ask for further help! ^___^

How exactly do you change the size when you're in paint?

In the window's paint program, at the very top it says
IMAGE.
Click on it, and one of the options says

Stretch/Skew...Ctrl+w

Click on this, and then decrease the image to the size you prefer. If you make a mistake, click on EDIT and scroll down to Undo. It will undo mistakes up to three times.

When I scan in an image, I usually decrease the size to 30%. I degrease both the height and the width to the same %.

Is there anything else I can do to help? Let me know

I don't know if anyone can help me but I thought I'd ask anyway!!!Have had axies(4 females) 2 years got a male 2 months ago and have since had 2 batches of babies 3 weeks apart. Both lots were thriving on home grown brine shrimp but yesterday our first batch started dying. We havent had any deaths yet so quite depressing! They seem to have lost balance and have gone a milky colour(they were all dark grey in colour).I think over half have been affected and have tried seperating the healthier looking ones but now they dont seem good either.Could they have a fungal disease (ive had fish 20yrs) like whitespot or dont they get things like that?Does anyone have any ideas. Many thanks and love the site!Has been very helpfull.

Hi Rachael - have you read www.axolotl.org - the sister site to Caudata.org?

They have some great information on breeding there - maybe you could check that and see if you followed all the right steps.

I didn't realise how hard it is to raise baby axies until i read that yesterday - I'm going to make sure I have a lot more research under my belt before I try it.

I can't answer your question as to why they may not have survived but I think it would be quite easy to miss something important in the breeding stage which could lead to all sorts of problems.

Good luck.
