Wow, great color! I'm not a DF person so would you mind me asking what kind each is? I'm not sure I've seen any of these species before.

Hi Garrison,
The first image is of Dendrobates reticulatus, then Dendrobates fantasticus, then Dendrobates histrionicus, Dendrobates imitator "Panguana" and lastly Epipedobates silverstonii.

that is one SICK! frog room. i'm taking it that you run some sort of froggy business to make that worthwhile. otherwise you are DAMN lucky to have such a snazzy setup. lucky bugger!

Have thought of it and tried a few years ago to establish a viv supplies shop in chester catering for a more distinguished vivarium owner but the market wasn't there so still really a hobby but obviously the money from sales of offspring go towards the cost of running the room but don't even cover the live food yet! maybe this year!

WOW! I *like* it. Need to chat with you about D.imitator, mine aren't doing very well. In fact, need some thumbnail tips in general.

Very nice!
What materials do you use for doing the background? Is it painted or did you stick some sort of soil to the surface?
I would like to know the best way and best materials for doing decorative paludariums.
Best greetings
Yago

yago the back ground is made up of cocos panels (www.vivaria.nl (http://www.vivaria.nl)) and the waterfall is made of polystyrene carved then covered with a roughcast of polypropylene reinforced mortar, this is then given a second coat which is texturised with a stencil brush cracks added with a fine screwdriver and then to bind the lime,it's acid etched with a blend of different coloured acids! it's easy once you've got the polypropylene fibres and the acids.
