Hi all,

Is there anyone that has experience keeping these anurans? I'm particularly interested in information concerning breeding them, but other information is welcome too.

They are interesting little frogs that like to spend a lot of time burrowed into the substrate. I only worked with males so I wasn't interested in trying to breed them.

I had a pair of them for around a year that I kept in a small terrarium with lots of soil. I think I saw them...maybe once a month if I was lucky haha. They are beautiful, but very secretive.

Yes, I kept and bred them once. They have to be kept in not too dry soil and well fed. Then you'll induce breeding by putting them in a rain chamber with shallow water (about 5 inches deep in the deepest point). Females must be quite overfed prior to introduce them into the rain chamber. tadpoles are both bottom feeders and suspension feeders. Use very fine fish powder to feed them.
