I have three of these toads in a v. large tank with dirt and water and plants. No other animals. Two of the toads act completely normal. The third has taken to burying itself for weeks at a time. The first time it did this, I thought it had died. I was completely prepared to find a dead toad. I uncovered the piece of terrarium moss it was under and it was like "Thanks for waking me up, jerk." Then it shed and promptly buried itself again. I woke up it the next day so I could make sure it ate. It did eat. Now it's back under the moss again. I've had this toad for months, it just started doing this. What is going on?

when i kept dirt in my tank my toad loved to play in the dirt and it was impossible to keep him or the tank clean, but he never buried himself, sorry- i know it isnt much help,
What temperature is it at. It might be too cold.

Its sounds to me like it could be to warm. Frogs and toads will often bury themselves when it becomes to warm. But if the other toads are acting fine, it could just be a wierd toad. If its eating and pooping regulary, I wouldnt worry about it.
Your temps should be this,
Day temps: 74-79F
Night temps: 69-72F
Water temps: 70-72F
Humidity: 80%
Hope that helps. Good luckhttp://www.caudata.org/forum/clipart/happy.gif
