in short, no its not really a good staple.
i would start feeding your axie worms, bloodworm, both live and frozen, as well as the pellets. i always say the best diet is a natural one, and the above is similar (except the pellets) to the natural food they would get in the wild (and yes i know they have been captive bred for years)
in the same way that i feed my dogs raw chicken wings, and uncooked bones, as well as more natural dog food, i think that this approach should be taken with every animal.
