advice please

got my axie today, water is fine and on sand. i have some frozen beef heart cubes for him/her. how often do i feed? also the man who sold said they were blind is that true? i know they can eat blood worm ( havent been able to get any yet) but what else can i get for him?
 
we had the "blind" discussion in depth on the old forum and came to the conclusion that they are not blind but sight isn't one of thier best sences.

How big is your axie? this will determine how much you should feed and how often.
 
hes about the size of my hand. they said to feed him evey other day one cube but wanted to double check
 
If they would be blind they wouldn't rush up to you when you approach the tank and they know it's dinner time!

Have fun with him and vice-versa!

If your hand is above 20 cm then the info is correct. If it's smaller, feed him everyday. I feed mine everyday, sometimes skip a day and sometimes twice a day. They're around 18 cm.

I dont believe Axies are blind..though their sight may not be perfect, I cant see how they could be blind.When i clean up my girls mess in the tank she always comes up to my hands for a nose.XD
 
They may not make out shapes too well but they definately see movement and react to moving objects in or out of the tank.
