I have some water purifier drops that are supposedly for a beta fish, but the bottle says it removes chlorine and chloramine. Would this be safe for an aquatic newt?
 
What's the brand? Most water dechlorinators are created equal (as in, most are the same thing).
 
It says "Beta Bowl Essential Kent Freshwater".
 
It's probably safe for newts. From what I see online, it may contain things you don't really need to add ("a special formula of nutrients, conditioners and minerals developed specifically for small bowls containing bettas and plants"). These other components may have some effect, like promoting algae growth, but are probably harmless. If you switch water conditioners at some point, acclimate the newt gradually.
