I have newts in my pond...will they eat them?....

Thats all :)

It really depends on the size of the axolotl. If their are newts living in your pond, I wouldn't add any axolotls, but that is just my opinion. Usually axolotls will eat anything they can fit in their mouth.

Axies do well in outdoor ponds in the UK but the newts will suffer from predation and competition for food. Their breeding success will plummet as eggs and youngsters are eaten. Big fish can nibble axolotl gills, small fish get eaten. There is also some risk of introducing disease to the newt population from the axolotl. I've advocated keeping axolotls outside in other threads but think you should enjoy and appreciate the natives and I wouldn't introduce axolotls to a pond which served as a habitat for native caudates. Your other posts suggest you have only smooth newts. If there are any great crested newts present introducing a predator might be considered a breach of the wildlife and countryside act.
