Interesting! I don't think I'll be feeding bat guano to any of my sals anytime soon:p
 
Does this make the leap from sals only being carnivorous to also being detrivores????
 
That's pretty interesting that they've managed to utilize another source of energy; I've been in a spaeleus cave, and there's really not much alive in those caves at all. Very cool!
 
Dante talked about this at IAD last year. A big part of it is the salamanders getting nutrition from undigested insect parts in the guano.
