Hi everyone -

Poor Robert had an incident with Max the cat and now has a damaged back leg. He is currently holidaying in the fridge - his leg is still attached however it is almost transparent from about halfway down with a red ring around his kneecap. What do we do? The leg appears to be completely dead - will it fall off on its own or does it need to be amputated to avoid risk of infection?

Please help - thanks.

A photo always helps people reach better verdicts, so if you could provide one it would be helpful.

Hi Caitlin,

From the sound of things amputation is in order but if you can supply a photo it would help alot.

Thanks guys,

We took Bob to the vet yesterday and his leg was amputated successfully. He seems ok now - not at all distressed and he has been eating normally. He is still in the fridge and loving it. Hopefully won't be too long until his leg starts growing back.

Glad to hear you got him successfully treated for his leg. I hope he continues to improve for you:D

Glad everything is ok, heres hoping he makes a speedy recovery.
