What should I do, mom is getting big axie home and it seems like it's dying!
It's apathetic, mom put it in a goolbox and add mutch more water to box.
ex owner maybe had packd it wrong..
What else can I tell my mom to do?
Maybe I just pray... :'(

Can axies go to some kind of shock? Frogs for example can..

Can you give us some more information please.

E.g what has it been through, has it been posted or collected from a shop etc
perhaps a picture may help and please tell us your water parameters (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH and temperature.

Have you put it in a tank?

how exactly was it behaving?

Sorry, I'm struggling to understand what has happened, please tell us everything

The axie is whit my parents, on it's way to get here..

So, this is how it go..
Mom get's the axie from it's ex owner about 11.00 am.
They put it in large plastic pag, whit water and losts of fresh air.
They start driving to home, and stop about 1.00 PM to give axie some new air.
Axie is apathic and mom is in panick..
So mom calls to me and I just tell them to put it in the goolbox, whithouth plasticpaq and give it lost of fresh water.
They do that and put the goolbox on.

And my tanks are just fine, I have had aquariums for 10 years now, maybe I know hoe they work. ;)

If the axolotl is just arriving, it will need some time to get used to its surroundings. This might even take a few days, during which the axolotl may not eat or only eat very little; it may hide at the back of the aquarium or inside its cave. This is normal.

If the only problem is that the axolotl is apathetic, then please just be patient. Try not to stand over it constantly (this will be very difficult!). Relax, and let the axolotl relax.

why don't anyone get that the axie isn't even here yet.. :(
It's in car whit my parents..

Sorry, it must be a communication problem. Please be patient with us, too. ;)

If the axolotl is not even home yet, it might be a bit early for your mother to panic. Being put into a bag and then taking a car drive is certainly not a normal experience for an axolotl. As I wrote, get the axolotl home and into its aquarium and then just wait for it to get used to the unfamiliar surroundings.

My mom is allways in panick..

She just called, she had put some more water and the axie had moved just a bit, only it's legs, but still.
Now it's lying by his side.

Maybe it's just in some kind of shock begause the move..?

what sort of water did your mother use in the bag/container?

The axolotl may very well be stressed from the move to your place (I realise it's still in the car!). The movement and temperature in the car could also be affecting it? How long is the journey before your parents arrive with your axolotl?

They will be here in two hours from now...about..
Mom bougth normal spring water from cass station, in bag there was water from the aquarium of axie ex owner. So, now there is normal bottlewater and aquarium water in goolbox.

There should be just fine temperature to axie in that goolbox..and it's dark, so it wont be so stresfull..

Axie is home now.
I't looks really nabby after trip.
I made a nice own place to axie, in a large plastick box, there he can get over.
Axie moves it's legs, but it's far too tired to move.
Onlu lies on his side..well time shows hoe it goes.

make sure to keep him cool and dark, also you should put just enough water to cover his back in his box that will de-stress him a bit (lying on his side is not really good).
Good luck and let us know how things go.

Axie is still very tired.
It moves litle more now, but still just lyes.

The water is about 18*C now, and I put a aquarium compressor to make more oxygen.

Now I just have to wait.

Axie is now litle better.
he can stand by his own, dont just roll over to his bag/side.
Axie had even moved a bit in box at night.

Hi Noora,

A car ride is unusual for an axolotl so don't worry too much. It will be feeling shocked. Give it a couple of days and it should have settled in and be behaving more normally. as already mentioned Apathetic is normal axolotl behaviour.

Thanks for posting in English. I appreciate that it is not easy.

Good Luck
