Question: Axie playing I think

I'm really interested in these guys.... I think i'm addicted to axies :wacko:
I haven't had my axie's long, but I love to sit and watch them they are absolutely fasinating she loves to peer out from her caves and plants pokes her head out and turns and looks when i come close it's like she's watching me.

I have noticed for some reason mainly at dusk she races for the top of the tank gulps air and races for the bottom once there races around corner to corner of tank madly swimming for the bottom slowly letting air out then floats to the bottom & 5mins later she does it again. She does it only 2-3 times in a row, then sits on the bottom again and slowly walks into her cave. She is really not active much any other time.
Is this her exercise? Is she playing? Is she stressed? Is she hungry? What the hell is she doin'?
It's rather amusing to watch and so very very cute :lol: But was wondering if anyone elses axie does this sort or thing?

Aswell my albino male rexy, is sick at the moment if anyone can help I do have a thread in the illness section

My axie does that when turn on a light. Try turning on the dullest light first and progressing up in the spectum

My axies do this too Nat now and then. Its usually as the night is drawing in. My two are mostly active at night as I have observed when passing the tank during the very early hours of the morning.

Both of my axies do this.
But they also do it when I do nothing,
no light switching or moving in front of the tank.
They are generally more active in the evening.

I also really enjoy sitting in front of my tank and watch
the two of them. That has something of mediation.
They are great animals.

Hi ellen I got my axie's over a week ago now, I am the very proud owner of little white Roxy the leucistic she's the one that does it the most and she just seems to do it for the hell of it mainly at night though, it's almost like she's showing off how fast she can really move. And Sexy Rexy the golden albino, he isn't too active at the moment he is a little sick and in the ndfridge at 6 degree.

I do have some not so great pics in the axie gallerie under nat and her axie's I will update the pics though when I can as they both have there very own new 2ft tank each.

Thanks for the peace of mind guys it's even more amusing now that I know it's just her being her that's why I love them.
