Okay, this is a copy of my post in the Gallery....
I know there is some controversy going on about snails...
What do you think about this?
"Mystery" snail
Hi together,
on the weekend I aquired a large snail,
sold to me as a "mystery snail" (seems to me an apple snail).
I thought it might be a good cleaner for left overs.
It is large, around 4cm in diameter (my axolotls are 15cm and 12cm length now).
For size comparison
Due to the New Zealand winter, my tank temperature is at 15°C at the moment.
Has anyone made any experiences and observations with similar
conditions?
Yes, I have read the horror story about the axie getting
the throat cut open while trying to eat the snail,
but to be honest, my axies heads are a bit big for that?

I just happened to watch them next to each other...
