Is this food okay?

MY axylotl food says its very nutricious but i just want to check,
Crude Protein: 48%
Crude Fat: 9%
Crude Fibre: 5%
Moisture: 8%
i need opinions thank you so much...

It depends on the ingredients. A good quality carnivore pellet is better than 'newt bites'. Even better is to feed earthworms.

Keep in mind that all packaged foods lose their vitamin content over time. A fresh batch should be purchased at least once per year. Supplementing with occasional earthworms is a good idea.

How do u guys feed ure axies?.
I have been using a community feed, 1/2 each , and they just seem to sniff it out n eat it but its extremely messy. Im to scared to hand feed as they gulp real quick Lol, do they have teeth?
Im having a tank over haul on the weekend, changing from the dredded large pebble rocks that hold all the old food that rots to sand and a longer tank instead of the large tank.I just wanted options on non messy foods, that i can give them. I have tried earth worms but that didnt work as by the time the worms were at the surface they would dissapear in the rocks.Ive just added some feeder fish to my tank, but they dont seem the slightest interested in them.

Other than that im really enjoying havn these guys.

I do a mix of hand feeding or sometimes leave the food to be found - this all depends on how busy I am or how cold the water is!

Don't be scared to hand feed! The lunge can come as a surprise and has made many a keeper reel back in shock, but once used to this experience hand feeding is a pleasure. The axies do have teeth, but the bite is not at all painful - these teeth are designed to hold food not tear flesh - it's an interesting sensation and is quite funny.

I use sand as my substrate, so the worms or pellets sit on the surface waiting to be found by the mighty hunters. Any worm that does manage to dig under the sand is usually discovered and rooted out quite quickly as axies love snuffling through the sand at all hours.

Any excess food stays on the sand surface making for easy spot cleaning and removal.

For larger foods like earthworms and pellets, you can use a feeding tweezers (pic below). These come in various lengths and are readily available at shops that sell caudates and reptiles, as well as online.

For smaller, messier foods (chopped worms, bloodworms, frozen foods), I find it very practical to use a jar or a teacup. Fill the jar with water from the aquarium and then add the food, then slowly place the jar on the bottom of the aquarium - you need to do it slowly or the motion of the water will throw everything everywhere. This also makes it easy to clean up any uneaten food.

I am a jumpy sort of girl and one of my axolotls always scared me to death each time I try to handfeed him, too - he remains motionless and then SNAP! suddenly grabs the food. After 9 months together with him, I still can't avoid jumping and splashing water everywhere. For this reason, I now just let his food fall onto his head from above.

Axolotls do have teeth but they are way at the back of the jaw, and they are rounded anyway (made for gripping, not for biting/chewing). Should an axolotl ever bite you, it does not hurt at all. I like to think it feels like kisses...

I can sit and feed both my bearded dragons but when it comes to thses guys im a little scared Lol.
Im doing a swap around with all my pets and tanks today, buying a longer tank for my axies.
So sand is the go in there new tank,even tho i love the look of the large pebbles( i love the natural look in tanks)the food just gets stuck in between n makes an awful mess so ill have sand and maybe just some of the larger pebbles around.I think i will try again with the earth worms i still have them and i will buy some pellets, the community feed is just to messy!.
