Hello,
My paddletail seems very happy.... but lately, she has been acting so hungry. I have been feeding her whole red wigglers a few times a week until recently. She is constantly "asking" for food. I have been feeding her about 2 whole red wigglers every day for about 10 days. I am concerned about her appetite. She seems happy otherwise--- her tank is in good condition, the temp is cold enough. Does anyone have any ideas?
thanks!

Paddletail are opportunistic feeders which in captivity means that she will want to eat any time she can. However that does not mean she is really "hungry" or that she needs to be fed. I would feed her every 3 days or so and she will be plenty healthy and robust.

Does it look too skinny when you don't feed it as much as you have?

THank you for your replies. No, she doesn't look to skinny when I feed her every few days. She definitely looks more rotund now though :)

Then you can probably cut back. If she's producing eggs, she'll need more food, but she should be fine otherwise.
