I have had my newt (c.orientalis?) for nearly 4 years now, I have never seen anything that clearly distinguishes my newts species or sex. I have not seen it gravid, with a blue tail, large cloaca or anything that may help me determine what exactly it is.
I guessed myself that it is a female c.orientalis because of the small cloaca and (partialy?) smooth skin.
Here are some pictures if anyone would like to help me with determining everything about my newt. It put up quite a fight for me to get these pictures so I hope I didn't stress it out too much. (very strong tail 0.o )
