I have just joined and hope to learn a lot from members here on how to best look after my newts. We are limited as to what is available here. We have axalotls, Chinese and Japanese fire bellied newts and that is all that I am aware of. I have been breeding the Japanese and have just obtained some newly hatched Chinese. I also have albino tree frogs ( Green and golden Bell frogs -Litoria aurea, introduced from Australia) and am also a member of the New Zealand killifish Association.

Welcome, Alan. It's great to hear that newts are being bred in NZ.
