Talking Hi new and excited!

Hi i am currently an owner of 2 whites tree frogs and a leopard gecko. I had another leopard gecko but after ten years he just passed. . I am goin to get a fb newt, any suggestions for tank. It is a 2.5 gal but im only gonna get 1 newt and maybe a ghost shrimp. :)

Most definitely not.
A 2,5 gallon tank is already 7,5 gallons short of the minimum recommended.
Even for just one newt, anything smaller than a 10gallon is just too small.

I would also like to say that the Cynops orientalis that you will find for sale at shops are ALL wild-caught. Those which survive the importation, and the shops, are very stressed, usually ill or dying. It´s certainly not in your best interest to acquire such an animal, plus it´s extremely unfair on the poor animals to be exported in mass to satisfy our whim.
My advice is to look for a breeder that has captive-bred animals for sale. That way you´ll know you are not contributing to the poaching of wild populations, and you´ll get a healthy animal.
