Red face New Member Saying Hello

Hello everyone! My name is Emma. I actually joined this forum a few months ago and then forgot about it. I thought I would just take a moment to introduce myself.

Like I said, my name is Emma. I am currently a student studying Animal Science. Currently I have a paddle tail newt (Pachytriton labiatus). He was purchased from a pet store that had them labeled as fire belly newts and kept them with all sorts of other species. He had been attacked by a tank mate and was missing his front right leg (so he was named Nubbie for the little nub leg he had). Since then his leg has grown back and he has grown quite a bit!

I have recently started breeding my own guppies to feed my newt so we will see how that works.

That's all about me!

Welcome to the forum! Is he actually eating fish? I tried that with my paddletails and they didn't eat them. I ended up with a big tank full of guppies.

Hi, otterwoman. Thanks for the welcome :) My paddletail does indeed eat fish. They generally have to be small fry though.
