Default Hello from Edmonton AB!

Thought I would introduce myself. My name is Meg and I am new to this forum as well as newts, salamanders and frogs. I keep many types of geckos, a skink, a snake, a couple rabbits and a cat currently.
However I am taking in a pair of tiger salamanders this week thru a local reptile rescue. I was directed to this site with all the knowledgable people here to find out more information. I have been doing as much research as possible before they arrive.

Hello Meg and welcome to the forum! I applaud your efforts on doing research and understanding how to care for these animals prior to obtaining them. You've come to the right site - there are many experienced keepers here willing to share their experiences and knowledge. If you haven't seen these 2 caresheets, you will want to read through them:

Thank you Jan. I had read the one article a couple months ago when a trio of tiger salamanders I came across were up for adoption (someone adopted them before I arrived). But the 101 article is new reading for me to do. Thanks!
