Hi!

I just joined this forum, i'm a fairly new axolotl keeper from Belgium.
I currently have a pair (my first) of albino axolotls. They are about 9 months old and i've added some pictures of them.
They looked a lot like each other, but since a few weeks they are definetly starting to look a lot different, I assume they are becoming sexualy mature, as their toes are looking darkened as well. And i'm pretty sure of the fact that i've got a male and a female.
But I've got a question , is it normal for the one wich I suspect to be male to develop such clear sexual characteristics in a short period of time? Because I've been reading some things about obstructions with axolotls and now I'm wondering if it's just a healty male or he might have an obstruction ( altough there is only sand in the aquarium :) )

here are the pics:

He's looking healthy and what your looking at are the family jewels. Nothing to worry about if you ask me.

Be sure to check Salamanders - De Nederlandse Salamander Site (Dutch and Belgian association for newts and salamanders)!
