Default Hynobius tokyoensis enthusiast

Hello fellow amphibian enthusiasts. I am a 57 year old female from Saskatchewan, Canada. In the past, I have kept a number of local frogs and had 4 Ambystoma tigrinum (tiger salamanders) for a great number of years. At present I have quite a few fish tanks from 5 to 180 gallons, numerous snakes and geckos as well as 3 female Ambystoma opacum (marbled salamanders) and 2 year old male and female Hynobius tokyoensis (Tokyo salamanders).I am hoping members of this forum can teach me how to create the conditions that will encourage the tokyoensis to breed when they are old enough.

Welcome to the forum pocoleo. Nice collection you have! If you haven't discovered it already, you'll probably enjoy this subforum Species, Genus & Family Discussions - Hynobiid Salamanders (Hynobiidae) at Caudata.org Newt and Salamander Portal.

Welcome to the forums!
There arenŽt that many Hynobius enthusiasts but youŽll find a few of us here. WeŽll need pictures at some point, though.
