Hello :) I'm thinking about getting an axolotl and just trying to get some information about them first. I am an avid fish keeper so have a good understanding of keeping water conditions clean. My biggest concern would be it morphing into a full salamander as I have little knowledge on taking care of animals without fins or fur. I'm reading that this seems to primarily be brought on by less then ideal water conditions but is it possible this could happen under any circumstances and how likely is it to happen? |

Welcome to the forum! You shouldn't be too worried about your axolotl morphing; it's extremely rare. Chances are it will die from poor water quality before it morphs.
