I've had a couple newts for almost 2 years now and a few questions just recently popped into my head. Do caudates have color vision? If so, does having substrate that isn't natural in color affect them in any way (i.e. stress)? Also, do caudates have a sense of hearing, or do they just "feel" vibrations through the water/air?
