Does anybody know the record for the largest caudata? What species was it? How big was it?

I think the largest was an Andrias japonicus (a relation of the hellbender) from Japan, don't know the measurements though

It's Andrias davidianus from China. Max. size 180cm

A smallish Japanese Giant -

Measures 40 inches *101.5 cm*
Weighed 26 lbs.

Still has some growing to do.

The Chinese one should be bigger than that Japanese one. Chinese Giant Salamander is about 1.5M and Japanese is 1.4M max.
