I'm trying to figure out what a lot of these symbols and things mean on this new forum. Is there a place we can look them up? For example, a blue dot by your name on your profile under your identification when you post: green circle or blue circle funny white shape red triangle with black perpendicular line green boxes in a row (some people have one or a couple, some have a bunch) etc |

The dot is an online indicator (green being online). the white shape is a set of scales, which is your 'reputation' (although I think John has this disabled). The red triangle is a warning or caution sign, and in this case is to report posts which are inappropriate. The green boxes are how 'good' you are on the site, I think.

hi Dawn if you hover your mouse over the symbols, it will give you an explanation of what the symbol means and is used for. Alex |

Yeah, my mouse used to do that, then I had to get a new hard drive and it stopped doing that. Now I can't figure out how to reset that feature to happen again. If you know, feel free to PM me!

I've changed all of the Reputation titles - they were too cryptic for my liking. I would just like to point out that Jennewt "has a reputation that goes up to 11".

John is to modest to say that his reputation goes up to 11 too. I got a new stereo for my 88 pick up for Christmas. I was hoping for one that goes up to 11 but I think it only goes up to 10. It's o.k.

When you look at your "latest reputation received", what does it mean if you get a gray box? My reputation may go to 11 , but I've gotten quite a few of these gray ones, and I'm not 100% sure what it means. Here's a screenshot. One of the reps received is a gray square, not green. Does this mean the person checked "I disapprove"?

I am glad you asked this, Jen, because I also received that grayish blue square once. I have been curious what it meant...

Ok I just looked it up. Grey means the person didn't have any reputation power (usually because they are a brand new user) so when they gave you reputation it didn't actually give you any points despite their good intentions.

Cool beans. These people weren't complaining about my advice after all. Thanks, John.
