Default volunteers needed in north Texas (Amrillo) -catching tigers

Hi again,
I am looking to find some volunteers who would like to spend a day catching neotenic tiger salamanders with me. The location is south of Canyon TX It would have to be within the next week (by the 21st). We have a location but they are spead out and the more people the faster this process will happen. These are for research and will be released afterwards. we may be able to find a pair of boots /waders to fit you depending on what is in stock here at the refuge. You can bring kids or friends but dogs aren't allowed at the refuge.

please write me at paris.reilley@okstate.edu if you wish to help out.

I'm tempted. Two questions though- what is the mosquito count like right now and can we possibly take 1 or perhaps 2 home with us ?

I wish you weren't so far away. Have you looked at the salamander trap thread? If it wasn't a full days drive to get there I'd do it.

When are you planning on doing this? I'm only about 1:45 from Canyon.
