Photo Competition - 2013 Caudata.org Calendar

It's that time of the year again! Each year we hold a competition to find 13 stunning photos to display on the Caudata.org calendar. Calendars are sold via the Caudata.org store to hobbyists throughout the world.

The rules are very simple:
1) The image must be of a newt or salamander.
2) The image must be a minimum of 2000 x 1500 pixels, although the larger the better. Most modern digital cameras produce much larger original images.
3) You must be the owner of the photo. You will retain the copyright. By entering you give Caudata.org permission to use the image on the calendar.
4) You may enter a maximum of 5 images.

How to enter:
It’s simple – submit your photos to the following email address photocomp@caudata.org. Please only email one photo at a time/per email! The closing date for entries is the 31st October 2012.

Images that meet the above requirements will appear in this thread for all to enjoy. Please do not post images directly to this thread.

Previous years winners can be viewed here: 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, all entries for 2012's Calendar (last year).

Nope! Need the pictures to create the 2013 calender, unless you wanted to go for 2014.

I have entered aswell. The closing date hasn't ended yet Taherman, they don't want people posting pictures up on the thread so thats probably why you are wondering where the entries are

Took some new photos but not sure if they will even get very far. lol

I'm the one running this year's competition, and as you can tell, I haven't posted the entries in the thread yet but there are plenty. I've been snowed under the past few weeks. I haven't even been able to find time to enter some of my own pics .

I've decided to extend the deadline to Sunday (November 4th).

Please remember that you must email your entries to photocomp@caudata.org. They won't be accepted any other way (so don't post them in this thread - that's not a valid way to enter).

Lastly, the photos should be a bare minimum of 2000 x 1500 pixels in dimensions. Several people have emailed me smaller photos and where I've noticed this I've notified them, but please check your entries.

(The 2013 calendar is already up on the Cafepress store, with the 2012 graphics. Does anyone know if this is a pre-order, or should I just wait until John posts the results?)

More than likely the pre-order, as John as previously said, the photos will be posted onto here and then the judging will take place.

The entries for the 2013 Calendar Competition are now posted here (still uploading as of this post). Judging will take place over the next 10 days. If you entered and your photos are not present, you were notified via email what the problem was (and given the option of fixing the problem).

Please note! As always, any judge who entered the competition can't vote for their own photos (so technically they are at a disadvantage).
