I think it looks great, although the right leg makes it look slightly like an E. Then again it might just be me. Good idea.

I find the basic idea good - would consider balancing it with another as the g in .org. You have the layout of "The Newt and Salamander Portal" to consider, though.

With the stylized (oh I read once what it actually is...?) green and orange salamander currently in the logo, you would have a higher "brand identification" of the logo - and the logo is easier to reproduce on pockets and keychains.

Two cents, please.
