Default Paranoia

I was just curious if anybody else gets really paranoid about their newts. Every time I look at my N. Viridescens, I go nuts. If they don't eat all their food, I get scared. Every single time I see anything that's not 100% right, I get really worried about them.

Does anybody else experience this "Newt paranoia"?

I get nervous about my tiger salamander. She got a sore on her this last autumn & now when I am doing housekeeping in her tank she also gets a close body check. After years of dogs & cats she just seems so fragile. And so different. Now that it is winter, I count the days she is out of site. Her last sleep was 2 weeks. She is fine.

Today I went to peek in on her & found that she had moved her burrow up against the front of the glass. Now I can see her while she is sleeping. My husband said it was just like having an ant farm. She caught me taking the picture though so I wonder if she will move now that she realizes she is "exposed".

I'm paranoid about my Daphnia culture, now that I expect the first larvae any day. I go over there every 20 minutes to make sure they haven't crashed yet.
