Post The Caudata Haiku thread

The Haiku is a form of Japanese poetry consisting of 17 syllables (technically it's not syllables but for English purposes that's the best format). Generally speaking it is a 3 line poem, each line a phrase. The first phrase traditionally makes a seasonal reference, but not always. The first line consists of 5 syllables, the second line of 7 syllables, and the final line is 5 syllables. Post your best Caudata.org / newt / salamander / amphibian Haikus here.

I'll start the ball rolling.

Code:
The spring approaches.
Yet winter's chill lingers on.
Axolotls court.
And another:

Code:
Spring rains drench the plains.
Tiger Salamanders march.
Larvae will hatch soon.
Here's another addition:

Code:
Jennifer Macke.
Valued administrator.
Cool under pressure.

My salamander
However cute you may be
It's not dinner time

Little Eduardo
Changed from an 'axolotl'
You have deceived me.

Out in a forest
Or maybe someplace mossy
Where do caudates live?

...I do not live in a moist green place, so, never seen one being wild.
And Eduardo is my tiger. He was given to me as a gift of axolotl. He wasn't an axolotl, but I love him anyway~ <3

squiggly little worm
silently wiggling in dirt
then the tiger strikes

get off the keyboard
you are a salamander

I´ve been told.

Both a terrible, free style haiku and a quote! xD I so need some proper sleep.....

Ooh, i liked your limerick, Mark, xD My turn!

I trully love my dunni
Although some are a bit of a bully
They bite each others tails
But regrow them like nails
Which amazes yours trully.

my newt, I ask you:
frozen blood worms, cold wet feet:
can you be happy?

If my newt were me
he would chop worms, siphon poop
and pay my taxes.

I like rain, cool moss.
Probably have been a newt
in another life.

and a limerick:

I had an S. gigliolii in Nome
who said: Signora, I'd rather be home.
So I fed him a cricket
and bought him a ticket
first class on Alitalia to Rome.

I'm not much for poetry but having just watched Dead Poets again, here we go

My 2 axoltls are golden
And at 16 degrees they are cold then
they eat at their turn
shrimp, pellets and worm
and then their bellies are swollen

Why won't you eat it?

my little tiger
though you may like the water
please live on land now

Steep wall of glass
You foil my plans for now
Soon I will climb you

I lived in water
Back when I was a larva
Now I prefer land

Springtime is now here
Into the water I go
Why hello ladies

salamander pokemon.
please consider it

Did you know there is a pokemon that is an exploded bag of trash, but no salamander? Really now. (Well, Wooper's sorta an Axolotl, and Charmander sort of sounds like salamander... But he is a lizard.) 649 and still no salamander.
