We've had our Axolotl Denis for six months. When we got him, he ate the two feeder fish we got with him within two days. We continued to feed him frozen shrimp brine & occasionally bought him a feeder fish or two which were eaten very quickly. However about 6 weeks ago we bought him two feeder fish & he hasn't eaten them at all. We're not sure why as he continues to eat both frozen shrimp brine & bloodworms - perhaps he's made friends with them?! They don't seem to bother him at all or even come near him but should we remove them from the tank? Also should you let the frozen food defrost a little before feeding your Axolotl? Sometimes he seems to gobble it down when it's still nearly frozen. Thanks for any advice you have! |
