Our Triturus Carnifex do not represent any kind of thread to our species. Actually due to this there is some plans to make them even more protected in certain spots. I agree with this because it is a specie that has been introduced kinda long time ago, I see much literature that appoints Azores as one of the Triturus Carnifex spots in the world and if there is no problems associated to their presence here why not to protect them?
erfus in the zone where the cynops pyrrhogaster there is any kind of introduced aquatic plant/animal that maybe could have been introduced from Japan? If there is no evidences of such introductions I think that that cynops pyrrhogaster population has been established due to hobbyist's negligence.
